The headline and article reflect a peculiar ecclesiology. "'The Church' is the People that God gathers in the whole world. She exists in local communities and is made real as a liturgical, above all a Eucharistic, assembly." (Catechism ¶ 752.) But the article and story equate "Church" with the ecclesiastical hierarchy. This equation privileges the aspects of the Church described in Chapter III of Lumen Gentium over those aspects of the Church described in Chapter II.

I think they cannot separate all catholics because they are praying to one God.
